The Neurosurgery Division at Children’s Hospital & Research Center Oakland provides a full range of inpatient and outpatient services for infants, children and adolescents with neurosurgical disorders. Our dedicated team of pediatric neurosurgeons, physician’s assistant, nurse practitioner and social worker care for children with:

Our dedicated team of pediatric neurosurgeons specializes in all phases of neurological surgery for comprehensive management of brain, spinal cord, and peripheral nerve diseases and disorders. Children's Neurosurgery is equipped with computer-guided stereotactic neurosurgery station, intraoperative CT and ultrasound, and neuroendoscope for minimally invasive, state-of-the-art brain surgery. Our patients receive the finest post-operative care in the largest pediatric intensive care unit and neonatal intensive care unit in Northern California. Transport teams are available to receive patients 24 hours a day.
We apply a multidisciplinary, collaborative approach to evaluation, diagnosis and treatment to provide integrated care to the patient and family. A complete range of services for the diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of patients with neurological disorders are available in one location.
