Program: Tough Cuff

SPORTS Medicine PERFORMANCE AND INJURY PREVENTION PROGRAMS For Young Athletes

Program customized for young athletes who play softball, baseball, or other "throwing" sports. Tough Cuff focuses on developing strength and conditioning to help prevent muscle stress and minimize the risk of injury when participating in sports.

  • Learn the fundamentals of training all muscles groups involved in the movement patterns used by throwing athletes.
  • The Tough Cuff program includes:
    • Strengthening all muscle groups important to throwing
    • A dynamic warm-up
    • A static stretching program for quick recovery and relaxation
  • We measure your performance improvement with:
    • Pre- and post-class screening of functional movements
    • Grip strength
    • Rotator cuff strength
    • Shoulder flexibility
    • Core strength
  • Learn the essentials of rotator cuff strengthening and scapular stabilization

Program Details:

  • 4-week-Intensive training period
  • Taught by trained professional:
    • Physical therapists (PT)
    • Certified athletic trainers (ATC)
    • Certified strength and conditioning specialists (CSCS)
  • 3 in-clinic group sessions each week (12 total)
  • Detailed instructions and exercise list for home follow-up
  • $300 per 4 week session
