Rubber duckies get ready for their annual derby.
Of all the partners standing hand-in-hand with Children's Hospital & Research Center Oakland, the Branches roots run deepest, going back more than 90 years.
Children's Hospital Branches is a network of volunteer women auxiliaries that advocate for Children’s in the community, raising millions of dollars in the process.
Money raised by the Branches has seeded many new programs and provided ongoing support for virtually every department and division at the hospital, including Family House, Katie’s Clinic for Rett Syndrome, the Center for Child Protection and the Intensive Care Nursery.
The annual June Rubber Ducky Derby is perhaps the Branches best-known fundraiser, raising more than $1 million dollars since 1991.
