The Artist-in-Residence Program at Children's Hospital & Research Center Oakland gives a hospitalized child the opportunity to express their feelings, hopes, and fears through art.

This remarkable program integrates art into patient care and provides a nurturing, inspirational, and artistic experience for every child.

The creative process facilitates coping with the stressors of hospitalization, work through traumatic experiences, voice unexpressed thoughts and emotions, and allows patients to enjoy the life-affirming pleasures of the creative process.

Children's Artist-in-Residence program depends entirely on monetary donations to continue its mission.
